If you are gasping for a lungful of fresh, bracing sea air, desperate to get out into nature, and have the urge to experience the great outdoors, then come and have a mini adventure with us.
Seaweeds and coastal plants are not only delicious but also contain a wealth of beneficial properties. They are rich in essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Incorporating seaweeds into food, soap, and skincare products is believed to offer a wide range of health benefits, such as boosting the immune system, improving digestion, and promoting healthy skin.
When we meet up we’ll talk you through safety on the seashore, tides and how to forage sustainably. You will learn how to identify the major seaweeds on our shores, taste some of them fresh from the rocks and find out what wonderful properties they contain. Finally we will explore how we use them in foods, soap and skincare products as nature’s wild health supplements and how seaweeds can help save the planet.

Our business is a Surfers Against Sewage plastic-free Silver champion and we are working towards our Gold Award.
Beach waste poses a serious threat to marine life and ecosystems. According to a report by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), plastic waste accounts for approximately 80% of all marine debris found on beaches globally and in a study conducted by the Ocean Conservancy, an estimated 8 million tons of plastic enter the oceans each year, of which 60% consists of single-use plastic items.
We invite everyone who joins us on our seashore foraging courses to pick up any rubbish they come across and drop it into our communal rubbish bag for us to dispose of responsibly.
