Monoprinting Workshop with Molly Macleod £35

£35.00

In this workshop with Molly Macleod, you will explore the process of Monoprinting using seaweed as the subject. You will be introduced to monoprinting techniques easily replicated at home. Participants are invited to play with dried and wet seaweed specimens and experiment, creating their own printing ink using a type of glue created out of seaweed.

The workshop will introduce Japanese Gyotaku printing techniques as a way of creating beautiful prints from 3d objects. Create beautiful motifs from beach-combed objects on pieces of cotton, which can then be taken home and used in other textiles projects.

During this 2.5hr workshop we will forage for specimens at Caerfai Beach, then head back to The Really Wild Emporium to learn monoprinting techniques.
