Bladderwrack £7.95

This packet of dried and milled bladderwrack seaweed has been sustainably hand-harvested by us, from the coast near St Davids.

It will keep for well over a year if stored in a lidded jar, somewhere dry and out of sunlight.

Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) is high in fibre and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and many people believe that its impressive nutrient profile can provide health benefits, though critics argue the claims are ahead of the research…

Powdered bladderwrack can be added to salt (sea salt preferably) and used as a condiment. It can also be made into a tea, but let it brew for at least 10 minutes to extract the goodness from the seaweed. Other botanicals can be brewed with the seaweed to add different flavours, for example wild fennel seeds, or root ginger…

Bladderwrack powder can be added to soups, stews and used as a seasoning or added to smoothies – it can be sprinkled on, or in, a variety of foods!
